Stop-Motion Project

I would just like to talk about the project we have been working on in class. I think its a real interesting project and something I would want to do again in the future. It's very time consuming, but well worth the time that all of us are putting into our projects. Just seeing little peices of my fellow classmates work, makes me excited to see there final movies.

The Effect of the Instant Replay in the NFL

Instant replay is a technology that allows broadcast of a previously occuring event using recorded video. This is most commonly used in sports; by on television to replay previous plays for the viewer, often from other angles than shown in the main broadcast, and also on video screens at live events. The footage is often played at a slow motion frame rate to allow more detailed analysis by the viewer and commentators. More advanced technology has allowed for more complex replays, such as pausing, and viewing the replay frame by frame.

Not just for the viewers and announces the referees and the NFL started to use the instant replay as a plus in the NFL. In 2004 the NFL really started using the instant replay changes the rules and letting each team be able to use it more often. Instant Replay is a huge part of digital media and the NFL decided to use more of the positives to digital media and bring instant replay into the league. Since Instant Replay has been in the NFL it almost gets used every game and has changed many outcomes of crucial plays. NCAA football believed this was a good idea and started using instant replay in college football in 2006. The MLB is beggining to use and I believe in the future it will be a huge part of the MLB.

Today November, 4th is election day and the media is only talking about the election. The election has been a huge part of our life's and because of our sources of digital media it allows Americans to know what is going on with the election every second of the day

TV Shows On The Web

Ive been recently watching lost on the internet on abc.com. It is free and there are limited commercial breaks. This is a huge outbreak in digital media. I remember in the past you could never watch full episodes of any show on the web, now if you want too mostly every television network allows you to watch episodes of there shows on there own website. Now on most big television networks, they even have the episodes in HD streaming. I used to buy seasons on DVD of my favorite shows, with digital media and the world wide web growing there is no need for me to buy any shows anymore.

Digital Media: Good or Bad?

Digital Media had helped out the world tremendously in every aspect. It has made a huge impact on our country and most parts of the world. Digital Media is in our life's mainly everywhere we look. How many times a day do you see somebody on there computer, listening to an ipod or even talking on there cell phone? I dont know about you, but i see it all the time. Like I said before it helps us out with our daily lifes and is a huge part of our lifestyle. Is it bad in anyway? I believe there are many reasons digital media can be a negative. I believe many people including myself overly use it. Also is using cell phones or having a computer around you at all times good for your health? Are all these waves going threw your bodies every second day good for us? We don't know, but we will see in the future as our generation gets older and starts to get health issues from digital media.

After listening to what we discussed during class on Tuesday, September 30th about the future of digital media it made me think a lot about what our lifes are going to be like in ten years. With the new identification cards that the government is making every US citizen have in 2009, i cant even imagine what it will be like down the road. With the technology that we have, in the future the government will be able to tell where we are at all times. How long is it before people become half human half robot. Just thinking about these things gives me chills. Soon enough we will not need computers or electronics everything will be in our brains. Cell phones will be surgically put into our heads. People may say they might not do it now, but minds will change once every body starts getting into the new technology. You know how many people said they would never get cell phones, and now almost everyone has one even little children. I just can't imagine what the future is going to be like and honestly i can't wait to see and experience the new digital media.

A world without Digital Media

What would life be like without digital media. There would be so many changes and people would not know what to do with their lifes. I know i wouldn't be the same person. I'm always on my computer, playing videogames or watching televison during my free time. I believe I can do other things during this free time but, it would be really hard for people whos whole life is digital media and in today's world there's a lot of people like that.
It would be a lot harder for people to communicate and we would not know what is going on with our country or even the whole world. If digital media magically dissappeared it would not be a horrible thing, but it would cause a lot problems with people's everyday lifes.

Almost everyone in the world is using Digital Media. Whether it is watching the television, being on the computer, listening to a ipod, or even talking on your cell phone. If digital media was not around today our lifestyles would be totally different. If digital media was taken away for just a day many people would panic and probably not know what do with themselves. Let's just hope that our digital media does not just crash or stop functioning one day.

Digital Media is mainly the only source of advertising in today's world. After my research on the web all the information I found out about digital media goes so much deeper into the world of computers and technology then i could of ever believed. In a business world digital media is publishing files for your marketing collateral, sales presentations and photography. This is how business's communicate to their market. If digital media never came about it would be so much harder for business's to communicate with there customers and sell there products.
